Front Entrance & Hallway

Well...what can I say about my front entrance????

Everyone has a room or shed for 'dumping stuff'.... mine is the front entrance

It is basically the 'dumping ground' for just about everything.

Things for camping, sports, bikes, my market tables and props, shoes etc... etc...

With 5 people living here it is such a mess.

It looks like someone was on their way to the tip and decided to stop at our house and dumped it in the entrance instead. Not the best way to greet guests.

It is also still painted in the original green with pink trim

Yes, you read that right.

When we bought the house EVERYTHING was either green or pink.

Currently the front entrance has a cement floor with a lino on it.

The hallway originally had pink carpet - YES

but a few years ago I ripped that up to find polished floorboards underneath....BONUS

The hallway was originally green, but was repainted about 8 years ago in a cream, which is now just tired and grubby looking.

So we have....

grey lino flooring in entrance

burgundy window frames

going into the....

hallway with orangey floorboards - nice boards - awful colour

grotty cream walls with light that is broken

doors to bedrooms painted in various colours and textured finishes

On the good side...

the entrance is light and bright

the hallway is wide

What I would like to do is..

paint window frames

paint entrance and hallway

remove old front door

replace lino

re-do floorboards

remove all the clutter and junk

So first off is to find somewhere to put all the clutter and get rid of the junk.

I have spent the last few weeks moving an old small shed and building a base for a new larger shed to replace it.

In the new shed I will put in STORAGE for all the camping and sports stuff, tables etc...

I am so excited... I know it's SAD to be excited about a shed, but I am.

I paid for it yesterday and it will take 2 weeks before it is delivered.
